You have me booked for a 8 hour wedding package. When would you like me to arrive and leave? (This can also be narrowed down after I go through this questionnaire, this just helps me know what your thoughts are)
I really enjoy the moment the bride puts on her dress and feel it is one of the best moments during the getting ready time. While there might be some brides that want photographs of this, I do understand that some prefer it to be more private. Would you like me to be there while you put your dress on?
What time (approximately) will you be putting your dress on?
I also strongly suggest doing a "First Look", where the bride and groom see each other for the first time. This allows for an emotional meeting of one another and is a good lead into bride and groom photos. Would you like me to capture your "First Look"?
Do you have a location in mind for the "First Look"? (my second shooter and I are also awesome at picking out spots if you don't have ideas :) It is usually best for the first look location to be at the same spot as the bride/groom photos.)
Time of first look:
Will there be any exchange of notes/letters/gifts between bride and groom that you would like captured in your photos upon receiving/giving? If so, when will these be given? (prior to seeing each other, at first look, after ceremony)
Bridal party photos start at (should be approx 1 hour after first look)
Names of bridal party members (bridesmaids, personal attendants, groomsmen, ushers, flower girls, ring bearers)
Would you like individual photos with each of your bridesmaids/groomsmen?
Family photos before or after ceremony? (I usually plan for a location as close to the ceremony as possible.)
Family photos are sometimes quick (half hour) but this all depends on how large your family is. It can be EXTREMELY helpful for myself and my second shooter to have an organized list to help the family photos flow smoothly and quickly. Please list ALL combinations of persons for desired family photos and NAMES of family members (bride with bride's parents: Carol and Jim, bride/groom with bride's parents: Carol and Jim, bride with mom Carol, bride with bride's siblings Brian, Kim, Jenny, bride and groom with parents and siblings/spouses: Carol and Jim, Brian and Tina, Kim and Ryan, Jenny and Jeff, bride with Grandma Betty, etc etc) Please plan for 30-45 minutes for family photos. This includes IMMEDIATE family of both bride and groom (with any spouses and nieces/nephews) and grandparents. If adding in extended family, please be aware extra time will be needed.
Any specific family situations I should know about/plan to accommodate for? (divorce, death, family members not speaking to one another)
Are there any rules pertaining to photography that I should be aware of during your ceremony? (no flash? no walking past a certain aisle?) Please give me copies of any rule sheets given to you by the venue and also list them below
Is there anything happening customary or unique during the ceremony that will be special to capture and helpful for me to have prior knowledge of?
Ceremony starts at
Ceremony ends at
Are you planning on doing a receiving line or dismissal after your ceremony? (Please note this usually takes about 15 minutes per 100 guests.)
Will there be a cocktail/hangout/social hour following your ceremony?
If so, what time will this begin and end?
Reception starts at
Is there anything happening at the reception that would be unique or helpful for me to have prior knowledge of?
Speeches start at (approx)
How many speeches do you have planned and who will be giving them?
Do you plan on having a cake cutting? If so, when will this be done? (before/after dinner?)
Sometimes the most relaxed photos between the bride and the groom are taken post-ceremony. As it is nice to take most photos prior to ceremony (as long as seeing each other before this), I often like to "steal the couple away" at some point either after dinner or before/shortly after dance starts to snap a few photos, especially if the light outside is "golden". Is this something you would be interested in?
First dance starts at
I usually do not plan to stay for an entire wedding dance. Is there a special exit the bride and groom will be having that you would want to be photographed? (sparkler send off, lantern lighting, friend/family tunnel) Please keep this time in mind with the hours included for coverage in your package. We can always discuss adding on hours if this is something you would like to be covered.

With all being said and done, do you still feel comfortable with the package you have chosen?
FINALLY, please take the following space to let me know your "must-haves" or the most important areas of your wedding day that would be most special to you to have fully captured through my photography. I promise to deliver the best coverage I can throughout your day but it is helpful to be prepared ahead of time regarding your utmost anticipated moments you want photographed. (examples could be: getting my dress on, moments with mom, first look, bride and groom portraits, ring shots, candid moments of bridal party, unity ceremony, guest shots, first dance, etc) I will plan to build in more time for the moments you want and/or put extra focus on these things.
